Design Capability

Cable assemblies can be easily overlooked, but when you’re towing a device at twenty knots looking for submarines, or connecting your satellite uplink dish to an observatory some two and a half kilometers under the pacific ocean, or pulling an 8 km2 sensor over the world oceans looking for oil, or trailing a sophisticated decoy to prevent torpedoes blowing you out of the water, then the cable becomes an absolute critical item. De Regt design and develop some of the world’s most high performance cable systems. At De Regt we have to combine a wide range of disciplines to arrive at the optimum solutions for our customers. Electrical engineering and thermodynamics for high voltage power supply, fluid dynamics for hydraulic systems, fluid flow for hydro-dynamic drag reduction, materials science for high temperature operations up to 200°C, mechanical engineering for strength and fatigue while flexing, optics technology for data transfer, optical sensors, FBGs and many others. De Regt is committed to the principles and practice of Quality Assurance and has adopted management systems and procedures covering all aspects of manufacturing and design. The ability to manufacture finished products, in-house, from basic raw materials, combined with strict controls developed over many years, gives the company an unrivalled ability to satisfy its customers. De Regt is fully approved to ISO 9001- 2000, AQAP 110. De Regt works with the latest standards in Health Safety and Environment.

24-hour service

De Regt has a large crew of multi-skilled Offshore Service Technicians. This reflects the upward importance of short-time mobilisation. De Regt’s Service department comprises a versatile engineering team. They offer knowledge on all types of cable assemblies, in combination with the latest European offshore safety and survival training. The broad service offering ranges from plain cable testing to complete system repairs. Close links between the OST and project departments ensure rapid solutions.
